7 Practical Tips for Your Airport Transfer

A well-planned airport transfer turns the most tiring part of a trip into the easiest one. Keep these seven points in mind when you make your request.

1. Share your flight number

With the flight number the carrier can track your landing time and adjust the pick-up if your flight is delayed. Add the number, not just the time.

2. Give the right number of passengers and bags

The vehicle is chosen accordingly: a Mercedes Vito seats up to 5 passengers, a Sprinter up to 7. Mention golf bags, pushchairs or very large suitcases in the notes.

3. Ask for a child seat in advance

Travelling with young children? Note that you need a child seat and the child's age, so the vehicle can be prepared.

4. Give a full, clear address

Hotel name, street and number, or a point marked on the map, prevent misunderstandings. For gated complexes or villas, naming a meeting point such as the gatehouse makes things easier.

5. Stay reachable by phone

Enter your phone number with the country code and switch your phone on after landing, so the driver can reach you by WhatsApp or a call.

6. Confirm the price before the trip

Prices on the site are estimates based on the current fuel price. The carrier who performs the transfer confirms the final fare with you before the trip, and you pay them directly; VipiGo charges passengers nothing.

7. Allow enough time for the return

For international flights it is usually recommended to be at the airport 2.5–3 hours before departure, for domestic flights 1.5–2 hours. Add a traffic buffer to the transfer time, especially on summer evenings and public holidays.
